Rachel Gerrity, MA LAPC
Therapy is a space for exploration, healing, and self-discovery. I aim to create a safe, affirming, and supportive environment where you can feel fully seen and heard. In our work together, I honor your experiences, recognize your strengths, and hold space for the pain and complexity of your story with empathy and hope.
I specialize in helping people deal with anxiety, life transitions, eating disorders, body image issues, gender and sexuality affirmation (particularly with LGBTQIA+ people), and relational and complex trauma. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I help clients explore how past experiences, relationships, and cultural or systemic influences shape their well-being, sense of self, and connection with others.
My approach is integrative and holistic, with a focus on person-centered and trauma-informed care. Our work is always tailored to your needs and goals and may draw from modalities like somatic and strength-based practices, mindfulness, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy. I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care that honors the fullness of your identity and lived experience.
I see clients both in-person (at the Lancaster and East Petersburg offices) and online.
I am a recent graduate from Alvernia University, graduating with a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling, and am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC). I previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from Ithaca College and spent six years working in the theater world before transitioning to counseling. My long-term goals include becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and pursuing a PsyD in Counseling Psychology.
I was born and raised in Lancaster and enjoy karaoke, role-playing games, anything related to dogs, and creative writing.
