Amanda Ruiz MS LPC
My specialty is helping perfectionistic clients to lessen their anxiety, and working with high achievers such as entrepreneurs and business owners to maximize their accomplishments. I also work with military members and first responders. I encourage clients to take responsibility for their life choices and make positive changes. I value integrity, confidentiality, positivity, trust, support, and respect in the therapeutic environment. I have daytime availability most days of the week. I see clients in person at our East Petersburg location, and also offer online therapy.
I earned my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have more than 16 years of experience providing outpatient mental health therapy, with extensive knowledge of supervisory and administrative aspects of private practice. I am a successful entrepreneur, having founded The Counseling Collective more than 7 years ago, and I know what it means to take a business from an idea to reality and the stress that comes with that. I am a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner, and use this type of therapy when appropriate. I also offer business consulting sessions at a self pay rate.
I am rooted in Lancaster County, PA, as I was born and raised here, and received my master’s level training here. I am the mother of elementary aged children, and served as an adjunct professor at HACC for over 7 years. I love this community and am happy to partner with you!
