Sara Crowers LCSW

I love being a therapist – I get to witness firsthand the creativity, resilience, and power my clients hold within themselves. My primary goal is to help others see themselves more clearly, enabling them to use what they already have to move forward in healthy ways or to see what they might be missing, and help them fill the gaps.

I see clients in person at both our East Petersburg and Lancaster locations, and also offer online therapy.

I specialize in working with adults through life transitions, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and anticipatory grief. I am also skilled in helping adults struggling with occupational stress and burnout, those with (diagnosed or suspected) ADHD, caregivers of older adults, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My experience as a hospice social worker gave me perspective on gratitude and other mindfulness techniques which I use quite often with my clients to relieve symptoms. It is of the utmost importance that clients are able to make their own decisions, so I play the role of facilitator of change, not the actual change-maker. I’ve been in this field for over 10 years. I have a no-nonsense approach to therapy, but don’t worry – I really love to laugh, too!

In addition to offering therapy, I also serve as the Engagement Coordinator here. I work to improve communication and interaction between our administrative team and therapists, and am working on finding ways to help strengthen our ties within our community.

I am a native of West Chester, PA. My first-choice college took me away to southwest North Carolina, and then I came back to PA in 2011 to be closer to my family and go to graduate school. I have a sweet and beautiful golden retriever, a sassy 4-year old child, and my spouse and I love to travel whenever we get the chance!
